Frequently Asked Questions
We have collected the most frequently asked questions so that you can get a better understanding of the treatments.
Is it safe to perform diode laser hair removal on my skin type?
Yes, the modern diode laser technology can be safely applied to most skin types. Unlike older lasers, the diode laser can be precisely adjusted, providing safe and effective protection from the I (very light) skin type to the V and VI (darker, creole or tanned) skin types, without the risk of burns. The treatment is always performed with personalized settings.
Is diode laser hair removal painful?
No, diode laser treatment involves minimal discomfort and is particularly gentle. Our device features a built-in, high-performance contact cooling system that continuously cools the skin-contacting surface of the treatment head. As a result, guests experience only mild warmth or a slight tingling sensation, which is completely tolerable compared to traditional waxing or epilation.
Can the treatment be performed in the summer as well?
Yes, diode laser treatment can be safely performed in the summer, but requires increased attention. The most important rule is that direct sun exposure, sunbathing, and the use of a high-SPF sunscreen with a minimum of SPF 50 must be strictly avoided before and after the treatment on the treated area. If the skin has not been freshly tanned or sunburnt, the treatment can be performed without any problems.
Can the treatment be applied to multiple body parts at the same time?
Yes, in some cases even several different body parts can be treated at the same time. There is no health barrier to having the legs, the buttocks, the armpits or the face treated on the same day. This is a particularly time-saving solution for the guests.
How many times is it necessary to achieve the desired result?
It usually takes 6–8 sessions to achieve permanent hairlessness. This is because the laser can only permanently destroy hair follicles that are in the active growth (anagen) phase. Since our hair grows in cycles, treatments must be repeated every 4–8 weeks depending on the body part to ensure that all hair follicles are in the correct phase.
From what age is diode laser hair removal recommended?
Treatment is recommended from the age of 18. In younger age groups, teenagers experience significant changes in hormone levels, which may affect the hair growth cycle, thus the effectiveness of the treatment may be lower than expected. It can be performed with parental consent and a stable hormonal background after 16 years of age, but a lasting result can be guaranteed in adulthood.
Could treatment also be a solution for hair growth and hair follicle inflammation?
Yes, the diode laser is one of the best and fastest solutions for ingrown hairs and inflammation. Since the laser light itself destroys the hair follicle, the cause of the inflammation is eliminated. After just 1-2 treatments, the skin visibly clears up, the painful, red bumps disappear, and the skin surface becomes smooth again.
Can tattooed skin areas be depilated?
Laser hair removal should not be performed directly after tattooing. The light of the laser would be absorbed by the dark pigments of the tattoo ink, which could cause burns and ruin the tattoo. However, the area around the tattoos can be treated naturally – leaving a safe distance of 2-3 centimeters or carefully covering the pattern.
Is IPL flash hair removal as durable and effective as diode laser hair removal?
No, the diode laser is significantly more effective and durable than the IPL. The IPL (light pulse) uses a broad spectrum of scattered light that reaches the hair follicles with weaker energy, so it often only weakens the hair but does not destroy it permanently. The diode laser operates at a single focused and targeted wavelength of 808 nm, which penetrates deep into the skin, directly targeting the bottom of the hair follicle, thereby providing a much more durable result in fewer sessions.
How effective is the diode laser hair removal?
Extremely effective: after the complete course, approximately 85-95% of the hair is permanently removed. The remaining minimal hair becomes silky, light, and barely noticeable. To maintain the result, only 1-2 reminder treatments per year are required.
Can the area be waxed between treatments?
No, during the treatment series, waxing, epilation and the use of tweezers are strictly prohibited. These methods completely remove the hair root, and the laser needs the hair root as a guide to deliver the heat to the hair follicle. During the recovery period, only shaving or using a hair removal cream is allowed.
What should you do before treatment?
24 hours before the treatment, thoroughly shave the area to be treated and do not use wax or epilator in the last 4 weeks.
Avoid sunbathing, tanning beds and self-tanning creams in the 1-2 weeks before the treatment.
On the day of the treatment, do not use any body lotion, perfume, deodorant, or oil on the area to be treated.
What should I do after the treatment?
- For 2-3 days after treatment, avoid hot baths, saunas, intense sweating exercises, and communal swimming pools.
- The treated area must be protected from direct sunlight for at least 1-2 weeks, and the use of SPF 50 sunscreen is mandatory.
- Do not use irritating cosmetics, alcoholic tonics, or strong skin treatments in the days following the treatment.
Is the procedure permanent or permanent?
The technically accurate term is persistent hair loss. Hair no longer grows back from the destroyed hair follicles, but in the human body, due to hormonal changes over the years, such as pregnancy, menopause, or hormonal diseases, minimal new hair follicles can become active. That is why an annual reminder treatment of 1-2 is recommended to maintain absolute smoothness.
Is the diode laser procedure safe?
Yes, the procedure is completely safe when performed by a qualified practitioner using a qualified machine. The diode laser light is specifically absorbed by the melanin in the hair, i.e., the pigment, so the surrounding tissues, blood vessels, and internal organs remain completely unaffected and safe.
What are the side effects of diode laser hair removal?
The treatment has no serious or long-lasting side effects. Immediately after the treatment, mild skin redness, minimal swelling or a feeling of warmth around the hair follicles may occur, similar to a mild sunburn. This is a completely natural reaction that indicates that the hair follicle has absorbed the heat. These symptoms usually disappear on their own within a few hours, at most 1-2 days.
Does diode laser treatment increase the risk of skin cancer?
No, laser hair removal does not increase the risk of skin cancer at all. The laser emits non-ionizing radiation and is completely free from harmful UV rays responsible for sunburn or tanning. The laser light only reaches the upper layers of the skin, so it cannot cause mutation or cancerous lesions.
When is it advisable to start the treatment series?
The most ideal time is the beginning of autumn and winter. Since treatments take weeks to complete and the skin needs protection from the sun, a treatment started in October-November can ensure that you can go to the beach for the next summer season with complete confidence, without shaving and hair removal, and with silky skin.
Can a diode be used to laser hair removal in intimate areas?
Yes, intimate areas, such as the groin and the entire intimate area, are particularly popular and are completely safe. The diode laser does not penetrate the internal organs; it only destroys the hair follicles in the skin. Moreover, this area gets rid of the unpleasant irritation and inflammation caused by shaving the fastest. Our treatment takes place in a professional environment with maximum discretion.
In what cases can the treatment not be performed? (Contraindications)
The treatment should not be performed during pregnancy and breastfeeding, in cases of active skin diseases such as herpes or eczema, when taking medications that cause photosensitivity, epilepsy, cancer, or when the treated area has recently been sunburned. During the first consultation, we will discuss all possible causes in detail to ensure your safety.
Is it worth buying a subscription for diode laser hair removal?
Absolutely! Since for a lasting result, biological reasons require 6–8 sessions, we have designed our subscription packages to provide significant savings compared to one-time prices. This way, you not only guarantee yourself a complete and successful process, but you will also save a lot of money and time in the long run, which you would otherwise spend on shaving or waxing for the rest of your life.
